In The Cellar is a small crew of friends who share a passion for music and production.
Michael “B” Birrenbach (FOH Audio Engineer)- A lifetime recording engineer. Credits include- House recording engineer for the legendary First Avenue Mainroom, in Downtown Minneapolis, where the list of bands he has worked with includes 4 Grammy Winners. Owner of Rice Street Circus Studio in St Paul- Home of In The Cellar
Paul Nevins (Monitor Audio Engineer) – Lifetime recording engineer and accomplished drummer. Paul has spent the bulk of his energy on music and music production since childhood. He has performed in several bands as well as doing all facets of music production, in the Twin Cities area, including several credits on local and national productions.
Joe Torbert (Video Production) – Joe has been a fixture in the local music scene for decades. His production skills include video, audio multi/social media and merchandise production for local and national acts, from The Big Wu to the Grateful Dead. His passion for great original music drives his quest for excellence and his determination to follow his dreams.
John Birrenbach (IT Development/Promotion) – Being a musician in his own right, John and his company, Birrenbach Consulting, understand the modern demands in music production for IT as well as the underlying drive to create a better experience for the end user and the musicians alike. His focus on the IT end of the production makes the shows possible.
Lucas Peterson (Stage Manager) – Keeping things running smoothly, Luke’s life in music, as an accomplished drummer as well as guitar and bass player, as well as his experience in the broadcast booth for local radio station KFAI, leaves him uniquely qualified to “heard cats” for the show!!!
